Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan:

I accept Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP) under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. These can be provided by your GP or treating psychiatrist. If you choose to obtain a MHTP you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate and will only have to pay the ‘gap’ fee.

Privately funded therapy:

You can still access this service without a Mental Health Treatment Plan but you will be responsible for covering the full fee. You may however be eligible for a rebate via your private health insurer.

Bulk-billing:

Unfortunately, I do not offer bulk-billing.

Fees

50 minute appointment: $190.00 ($107.70 out of pocket with Medicare rebate of $82.30)

90 minute appointment $270.00 ($187.70 out of pocket with Medicare rebate of $82.30)

Payment of fees

Payment of the full fee at the time of the appointment is appreciated. Payment can be made via cash or direct bank transfer.

If you attend appointments by video or telephone, payment will be accepted via bank transfer.

Once payment is finalised a receipt will be provided. If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan I can process the rebate on your behalf, or you can submit the receipt directly to Medicare for reimbursement of your rebate.

I reserve the right to refuse booking of further appointments if outstanding fees accumulate.

Appointment Cancellations:

A courtesy SMS reminder will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please advise me as soon as possible to allow time to offer your appointment time to someone else.

Please note that cancellations within 24 hours will incur a full session fee if the appointment cannot be rebooked.

If you do not show up for your appointment a full session fee will be incurred.
